About Jermaine R. Bennett
Jermaine R. Bennett is a dynamic educator, entrepreneur, and nonprofit leader with over 18 years of experience in special education, youth development, and technology workforce training. A proud native of New Orleans and graduate of Southern University and Southern University at New Orleans, Jermaine is the visionary behind BrightPath Education and Technology LLC, a company committed to bridging the digital divide and preparing underrepresented communities for the future of work.
In addition to launching Lacomba's Youth Village, a youth-led nonprofit revitalizing New Orleans neighborhoods, and AXUM Signature Shoes, an eco-conscious fashion startup rooted in Black excellence, Jermaine is known for building organizations that combine culture, community, and innovation. His work focuses on empowering the next generation with access, skills, and opportunities in technology and entrepreneurship.
Jermaine’s passion is creating bold pathways for growth—whether that means mentoring students, writing children's books about tech, or designing programs that elevate historically excluded voices.
